At RSK Biocensus, we’re proud to support the next generation of ecologists through our long-standing collaboration with the University of Reading. As part of the MSc Ecological Survey Skills with Placement (ESSP) course, we have just welcomed a new group of talented students who will gain hands-on experience as field ecologists alongside our team of experienced consultants.
This year, we’re excited to be joined by Molly Vogle, Isabelle Turner, Max Pietersen, Jolie Dunn, and Charlotte Quaife, who will spend six months with us as part of their paid industry placements. During their time with us, they’ll be actively involved in planning and undertaking on-site ecological surveys and producing detailed ecological survey reports, developing both their technical knowledge and practical fieldwork skills.
Since we first welcomed students from Reading University, several have successfully completed their master’s programmes with RSK Biocensus. We’re proud that many of them have continued their journey with us and are now valuable members of our team, working in roles ranging from Assistant Ecologist to Consultant Ecologist.
The ESSP programme offers a unique blend of academic learning and real-world ecological work, and we are committed to providing a supportive and enriching experience for our placement students. We look forward to helping this year’s cohort thrive as they begin their journey into the ecological profession.
