RSK Biocensus is celebrating the success of the RSK Graduate Scheme, as two of our graduates complete their 18-month journey and step into a full-time role within the company.
Recent graduates, Ellie Postlethwaite and Georgia Beasley of the scheme shared their experience, expressing gratitude to RSK Biocensus and RSK International Projects Group for their support, mentorship, and shared expertise. Now, they embark on the next chapter of their career as Assistant Ecologists at RSK Biocensus.

A Journey of Growth and Impact

Over the past year and a half, the graduates have gained invaluable experience, including:
• Supporting early career professionals – Co-founding the Young Professionals space at RSK with Isabelle Nuttall, which has grown from just two members to over 250, fostering networking opportunities across the company.
• International fieldwork – Participating in terrestrial fieldwork in the Arabian Peninsula, gaining hands-on experience in diverse ecological environments.
• Community engagement – Volunteering with WWT Llanelli, contributing to conservation efforts and environmental stewardship.
• Inspiring future ecologists – Representing RSK at a Cardiff University careers fair, delivering talks on networking and key career skills to students preparing to enter the field.

Ellie and Georgia extended their gratitude to their mentors and fellow graduates, highlighting the strong support network within the RSK Group.

The Value of RSK’s Graduate Scheme

The RSK Ecology and Environment Graduate Scheme provides early career professionals with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities to develop both technical and leadership skills. By working across different teams and projects, graduates build a well-rounded foundation in ecological consultancy and environmental management.
With another successful graduate transitioning into a permanent role, the scheme continues to demonstrate its value in nurturing the next generation of environmental professionals.
