At RSK Biocensus, we value all of our suppliers and the invaluable work that they do for us, supporting us across a wide range of projects all around the UK. We wouldn’t be the success we are without them, one of the ways we celebrate their success is through our Supplier of the Year Awards.

As always, choosing a winner has been immensely challenging this year, a testament to how fortunate we are to work with such an outstanding network of suppliers. The nominations this year yielded another impressive shortlist. But after much deliberation, the following stood out:

Supplier Company of the Year

Aluco Ecology Ltd

The entire team at Aluco deserves recognition for their outstanding work this year. Even when the red line on the map changed significantly, the team remained flexible and readily available to assist. After each survey, they summarised their findings and highlighted relevant information concerning logistics and health and safety. Additionally, they responded promptly to our requests for clarifications after conducting quality assurance on the data and took all suggestions into account for the upcoming surveys.

Individual Suppliers of the Year

1st – Ian Ruston

Winning for the second year in a row, Ian has gone above and beyond once again. Even with tight deadlines and unforeseen challenges, Ian always remains level and solution focused. He is always on hand to support anyone and everyone from the smallest of things to the largest, for which we’re very grateful and delighted to recognise his achievements once again with this award.

2nd – Rachel Whatmore

Rachel provides clear and detailed reports, is clear with the conditions of the work, and sticks to agreed timelines for delivery. All of this makes working with Rachel an absolute pleasure and helps us deliver great outcomes on our projects.

3rd – Gareth Harris

We wanted to acknowledge how much we appreciate Gareth working with us in a true collaborative style to continue delivering excellent work for our client – thank you Harris Ecology and we look forward to picking up with you again in 2026!

Congratulations to all of our winners, we would also like to shout out our Supplier Team; Georgia Marchington, Tomos Gwynn, Chrissy Phillips and Jordyn McCann, who have worked tirelessly throughout the year to ensure that everything runs smoothly. The team is responsible for recruitment and retention of our subbies, ensuring that they are happy and well-supported. They work closely with project managers, coordinators and of course our in-house ecologists to ensure that subbies are, and feel, included as part of our successful RSK Biocensus team. Well done everyone!

We would like to publicly thank all of our suppliers, as well as our Supplier Team, for their continued dedication and expertise, and we wish them all a merry Christmas and a happy 2026!
